During this second wave people follow short cuts to avoid Aadhar identity of the Patient/Children/Family by doing CT Chest/HRCT by self and send the reports/films for Tele(phone)consultations.
I am sure many Pediatricians are facing such problems.
I request our IAP to bring it to the notice of Government to stop such activities to avoid delay in treatment/complications and also deaths.

All family members test positive..mild symptoms . recover with home quarantine.

1. Is it mandatory for an infant to be tested even if no symptoms?

2. Any specifications for the regular vaccinations within 4 weeks of contact with the family?

How long RAT remains positive as compared to RT PCR which can be positive for 6 weeks or so. Please clarify

How about the hypothesised”SEVERE DISEASE ” in chidren during expected third wave ?

Orphan children who have lost their parents with COVID 19also to be included as – indirect effects to children

Paracetamol to be given as a fixed frequency dosing as TDS / QID OR can be given SOS ?

Is it necessary that child shoud have ” HIGH ” fever always to suspect COVID 19 infection ?

Rapid antigen test (RAT)
IS THE METHODOLOGY REMAINS the same across different labs. Or are they using different methodology. Is false positivity reported.
How long RAT remains positive as compared to RT PCR which can be positive for 6 weeks or so. Please clarify

Can we conclude saying – do rapid test in all suspected and if negative go for RT PCR ?
